The panel featuring UTSA College of Education and Human Development's Department of COEHD and African American Studies has convened a panel of UTSA Professors/Lecturers will discuss and analyze the historical interpretation of African American history in cinema, the danger of writer's creative license over true facts, and the distortion of images recreated in numerous biopics for television and cinema. Educating ourselves on history is the best defense to learning facts over fiction.
